THE DRONE WAR

This unique exhibition features authentic unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), showcasing the technology that has transformed the face of modern warfare.

About the Exposition

The “Drone War” exhibition is part of the permanent “Russian–Ukrainian War” exhibition at the Local History Museum of the city of Horishni Plavni. It is dedicated to one of the most significant aspects of modern warfare—the widespread use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Visitors have the opportunity to see authentic examples of different types of drones, including lightweight reconnaissance UAVs, high-speed FPV drones, fiber-optic drones, and large Russian-made unmanned aircraft. Each exhibit is accompanied by informational materials explaining its technical characteristics, role on the battlefield, and the methods used to counter UAVs. The exhibition demonstrates how unmanned technologies have fundamentally transformed modern military tactics, evolving from a supporting reconnaissance tool into an independent combat force that plays a decisive role in Ukraine’s War of Independence. The exhibition is intended for a wide audience, including schoolchildren, students, veterans, volunteers, and everyone who wishes to gain a deeper understanding of the events shaping Ukraine’s future and the military-technological revolution taking place today.
