“Watercolor Therapy on Sheets”: An Exhibition by Oleh Kolesnikov Opens at the Museum Exhibition Hall

On June 5, the museum exhibition hall hosted the opening of Oleh Kolesnikov’s exhibition “Watercolor Therapy on Sheets.” In the presented works, the artist invites viewers into a world of light, color, and inner harmony. Each watercolor is a unique story filled with memories, emotions, and a sincere admiration for the beauty of the surrounding world. A special place in the artist’s work is occupied by images of his native land. Born on the left bank of the Kherson region, Oleh Kolesnikov has preserved in his memory the unique landscapes of the steppe, the vast sky, and the light of the southern sun, all of which resonate in his artworks. The artist was congratulated by Anatolii Holovnia, Head of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Maryna Bezsmolna, Director of the Local History Museum, who presented him with a letter of appreciation and expressed gratitude for his talent, professionalism, and dedication to his creative work. During the opening, visitors not only became acquainted with the artist’s works but also took part in an interactive art-therapy practice called “Blind Drawing,” experiencing firsthand how art can help express emotions and achieve inner balance. We sincerely thank Oleh Matviyovych for the emotions he shared and for the painting donated to the museum’s collection. We also thank all guests for the warm atmosphere and sincere interest in art.
