“Watercolor Therapy on Sheets”: An Exhibition by Oleh Kolesnikov Opens at the Museum Exhibition Hall
On June 5, a personal exhibition by Oleh Kolesnikov titled “Watercolor Therapy on Sheets” was opened. The project introduces visitors to landscapes of the southern region and invites them to take part in a unique art-therapeutic practice.
“Archives of the Earth: From Rocks to Fossil Organisms” – A New Permanent Exhibition on Paleontology and Geology Opens at the Museum
On May 27, the Local History Museum opened a new permanent exhibition titled “Archives of the Earth: From Rocks to Fossil Organisms.” The exposition immerses visitors in the world of an ancient sea that covered this region millions of years before the founding of Horishni Plavni.
Professional Development: Museum Staff Successfully Completed an Inclusive Practices Course
Employees of the Local History Museum of the city of Horishni Plavni have completed the course “Museum for Everyone” by the National Museum of the History of Ukraine. The knowledge gained will help make our institution even more open and barrier-free for all visitors.

On May 8, on the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War, the Local History Museum invites visitors to a thematic exhibition. The display immerses visitors in the tragic events of 1941–1943, which directly affected our region.
“Peaceful Atom: The Illusion of Safety”: Exhibition Opens Marking the 40th Anniversary of the Chernobyl Disaster
On April 24, the opening of the commemorative exhibition “Peaceful Atom: The Illusion of Safety” took place. The project presents unique museum objects and photographs dedicated to the heroism of the liquidators of the Chornobyl disaster. The exhibition will run until the end of the year.
