The Museum’s Scientific Library Has Been Replenished with a New Publication

The Mayor of the city, Dmytro Bykov, has donated a comprehensive scholarly monograph by Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor Tetiana Tairova-Yakovleva — “Ivan Teodorovych Bohun. Biography.” The figure of a prominent personality in Ukrainian history, an outstanding military commander and political leader, is revealed through a meticulous study of acts, publications, and archival sources from several countries. His youth, campaigns in the Wild Fields, the verdicts of the Moscow Tsar and the Polish King, the war under Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, battles of the Russian-Ukrainian war including the famous Battle of Konotop, as well as his friendship and confrontation with Hetman Vyhovskyi and other milestones of his life are presented in this new monograph.
