About the event

Recently, staff members of the Local History Museum of the city of Horishni Plavni — Kateryna Hredel-Chikir and Illia Pohrebniak — completed the educational course on inclusive practices “Museum for Everyone” by the National Museum of the History of Ukraine. The training lasted several weeks in an online format, and lectures by respected colleagues and guest speakers covered many important topics: how to ensure accessible communication, adapt museum spaces, apply methods for working with different categories of visitors, and build a truly inclusive museum environment where every person can feel comfortable and confident. We look forward to implementing the acquired knowledge at the Horishni Plavni Local History Museum, so that our institution becomes even more open and accessible to everyone. We express our sincere gratitude to the course organizers, the team of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, the lecturers, and all participants — we work and continue working together to ensure that Ukrainian museums truly become spaces for everyone!
