ONLY A DREAM IS REALITY

The exhibition "Only a Dream is Reality" is a unique art project that brings together the artworks of students from the private art school "Ultramarine", which is headed by artist and teacher Kristyna Martynova. Kristyna Martynova is a teacher and decorator by education, and the head of the "Ultramarine" Art School, which she opened together with her husband in the spring of 2022. The school teaches according to an academic program; among the disciplines, children master painting, drawing, composition, fundamentals of construction, layout, life drawing, collage, paper panels, art therapy, sculpting, appliqué, and others. Classes at the school are held in small, age-based groups and individually. The exhibition features works by children aged 3 to 17, created over the past four years. These are paintings executed in various genres and techniques. Among the authors are participants of all-Ukrainian and international competitions: Yelysei Vdovychenko, Vladyslava Rybachenko, Mariia Kuchmii, Anna Pasko, Mariia Polomana, Valeriia Tovt, Kira Sheiko, Zakhar Mylenin, Oleksandr Chmyrkov, Anastasiia Pohoretska, Nikita Oleksiienko, Vira Maryna, Bohdan Shyshakov, and others. The exhibition presents 39 drawings, vytynanka (traditional Ukrainian paper cutting), and crafts made of dough, clay, and papier-mâché. These are bright, original works, sometimes featuring complex compositions, which show the perception of the world through the eyes of children, their passions, the things and people that inspire them.
